| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of a clinical psychologist’s involvement to an involvement of a nurse in psychiatric outreach program, using a single case design. A female participant、with a bipolar disorder was asked to answer a questionnaire about the quality of the psychiatric outreach program through three periods of time: A: A nurse's involvement, B: A clinical psychologist’s involvement, C: A fo1low-up period with a nurse's involvement. The result shows that the outreach progran'1、vas rated satisfactory in all three Periods. However, when the services provided by two different professionals were categorically analyzed, the contents of the conversations and the needs of the participant varied. The commonalities between a nurse's and a clinical psychologist's supports were `”being a conversational partner”, listening to an individual’s Story", and “empathetic understanding". The categories that are specific to a nurse were `”psychological education about disorders and medication”, practical tips to deal with symptoms and medication.'' The categories specific to a clinical psychologist were “a family support”, “psychological education to a family”, giving a relationship advice", and “helping one rebuild a female role.'' If the professional strengths of both nurses and clinical psychologists are provided in a Psychiatric outreach program, the support for not only a patient but his or her family can be enhanced. It should also be mentioned that a psychologist should assess the unspoken needs of the program users so that a nurse’s support can be maximized this research suggests that including a clinical psychologist in an outreach program run by nurse can be qualitatively land financially beneficial to both users and their families to receive the service that matches to their needs. |
