| 内容記述 | かつて日本では全国地域ごとに，出産，育児に関する慣習としてさまざまな民俗があった。本稿は，現代の子育てについて児の生体リズムや養育環境，睡眠・生活リズム等を調査研究するに先立ち，日本人の出産，育児の多様な在り方や育児観，その根底にある意識を明らかにすることを目的とした。『日本産育習俗資料集成』（第一法規出版 1975年）（以下「資料集成」）を主な資料に，生児の命を繋ぐ「乳」の意味や産婦の休養，共助，別火の場として機能した産屋や村落共同体における養育環境について整理し，特に三重・福岡・熊本県においてどのような習俗があったのか検討した。各地域の産育習俗をみていくことで，その歴史的背景を明らかにし，日本の風土で育つ現代の子育ての実像への接近を試みた。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In the past, there were various folk customs related to childbirth and child rearing in each region of Japan. The purpose of this report is to clarify the various ways of childbirth and child rearing, views on child rearing, and underlying attitudes of the Japanese people, prior to conducting research on the biological rhythms of children, child rearing environment, sleep and lifestyle rhythms, and other aspects of child rearing in the modern era. Using “Nihon saniku shuzoku shiryoshusei” (“Collection of Japanese Childbearing Customs”, Dai-Ichi Hoki Shuppan, 1975) (hereinafter referred to as “Collection of Materials”) as the main source material, we have organized the meaning of “milk” that connects the life of a newborn baby and the child-rearing environment in the birth house and village community that functioned as a place of rest, mutual aid, and separate fire for the mother-to-be, and examined what kind of folk customs existed especially in Mie, Fukuoka, and Kumamoto prefectures. The following is a summary of the study. By examining the childbirth and child-rearing customs in each region, we attempted to clarify the historical background and to approach the actual image of modern child-rearing in the Japanese climate. | |||||||||
