| 内容記述 | 1970年代初頭の日本では，世界的なウーマン・リブ運動の潮流を背景に，性に関する社会の関心が高まっていた。こうした中で1971年にSEICUS 創始者のカーケンダールが初来日し，全国11か所で講演を行った。カーケンダールは新しい時代の性教育として「セクシュアリティの概念の導入」を訴え，JASE設立への期待を表明した。同時期は，従来，性教育に消極的だった学校保健界も時代の要請から性教育を強化する方向へと転じており，カーケンダールを積極的に紹介している。カーケンダールは後の日本の性教育啓蒙運動に刺激を与えたとみられる。本稿はセクシュアリティ概念を主体とする新たな性教育論が，戦後政府主導で推進された「純潔教育」から後の日本の性教育の主体的言説形成にどのように寄与していくのか，アメリカの概念の移入過程を歴史的文脈から問い，その接続の歴史的過程と意義を検討した。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In the early 1970’s, the worldwide women’s lib movement in Japan triggered a growing interest in sexuality, and in 1971, Kirkendall, founder of SEICUS, visited Japan for the first time and gave lectures in 11 locations throughout the country. Kirkendall called for the introduction of the concept of sexuality as a new era of sex education and expressed his hope for the establishment of JASE. The school health community, which had been reluctant to accept sexuality education in the past, turned to accept it in response to the needs of the times, and actively introduced Kirkendall to the public. The activities to popularize and educate the concept of sexuality are believed to have stimulated the later sex education enlightenment movement in Japan. This paper examines the historical process and significance of the connection by questioning the historical context of the transfer process of the American concept and how the emergence of a new theory of sexuality education, which is mainly based on the concept of sexuality, contributed to the formation of a proactive discourse of sex education in Japan later from the “purity education” promoted by the postwar government initiative. | |||||||||
