| 内容記述 | 【目的】学生が，成人看護学実習における体験を踏まえ，「看護とは何か」をどのように考え看護を概念化したかを明確にする。これより実習における教育上の示唆を得る。 【方法】分析対象：研究者が実習指導した12名の学生の実習記録中の看護の概念化（看護とは何か）について考察した記録物 分析期間：平成26年4月1日～5月31日 分析方法：記録物を丁寧に読み，「看護とは何か」が書かれた部分を抽出した。書かれた記述内容の類似性よりサブカテゴリー，カテゴリーと抽象度を上げ分類した。 【結果】128の記述が取り出せ，17サブカテゴリーと4カテゴリーが抽出された。カテゴリーは， 【援助の実際】（47.7％），【対象理解】（26.6％），【援助するための思考過程】（15.6％），【対象との相互関係により成立する援助】（10.1％）であった。また， 【援助の実際】は，≪ADLの援助≫ ≪患者に寄り添う≫など7サブカテゴリーで構成された。【対象理解】は，≪患者の思いを知る≫ ≪患者の理解≫など3サブカテゴリーで構成された。【援助するための思考過程】は，≪患者の観察≫ ≪アセスメント≫など4サブカテゴリーで構成された。【対象との相互関係により成立する援助】は，≪患者が主体≫≪相手の身になる≫など3サブカテゴリーで構成された。 【考察】学生の看護の概念化は，看護が対象との相互関係であり， 科学的問題解決思考により援助を実施するという看護過程であることを述べていた。これより，実習という体験を踏まえて看護の本質を掴んでいると言えた。学生は，実習に困難を感じており教員のサポートが重要である。実習指導にあたり，対象への関心には引き続き着目させ， アセスメントという援助するための思考過程に力を入れる必要性が示唆された。 |

| 内容記述 | Objectives This study aims to understand the ideas of “what nursing is” developed by students while they practiced adult nursing and examine whether they have formed the concept of nursing. As an outcome of pursuing the aim, suggestions on educational significance of nursing practice were also to be derived. Methods Target of analysis: Records kept during practice by twelve students who were under the instruction of the study researchers. The records showed the students’ thoughts about their concept of nursing or about “what nursing is”. Period analyzed: April 1, 2014 to May 31, 2014. Analytical procedure: After careful reading of the records, entries that mentioned “what nursing is” were extracted; those entries were then, based on descriptive similarity, classified by increasing the abstraction level into categories and sub-categories. Results From the 128 entries that were extracted, four categories and 17 sub-categories were established. The categories were: “actual assisting practices” (47.7%), “understanding the assisted” (26.6%), “thought processes involved in giving assistance” (15.6%), and “assistance based on a mutual relationship with the patient” (10.1%). “Actual assisting practices” consisted of seven sub-categories such as “helping the patient with activities of daily living (ADL)” and “following the patient’s thoughts and moods”. “Understanding the assisted” consisted of three sub-categories including “learning the feelings of the patient” and “understanding the patient”. “Thought processes involved in giving assistance” consisted of four sub-categories including “observing the patient” and “assessment”. “Assistance based on a mutual relationship with the patient” consisted of three sub-categories including “patient-centered assistance” and “seeing things from the patient’s point of view”. Discussion Having the concept of nursing developed, the students mentioned that nursing is a kind of mutual relationship with the patient and is a process of giving assistance while solving problems scientifically. Thus it could be said that the students understood the essentials of nursing from their experience during practice. The students encountered difficulties during practice and needed support from the instructors. The study suggested that instructors of nursing practices should continue encouraging students to have their interest in the patient and further emphasize the process of assessment — that is, the thought processes involved in giving assistance. |
